Because I said so!


As CJ gets older and our interaction is more logical, I am continually amazed at the similarities between our relationships to the relationship I had with my parents. Granted I don’t remember much from when I was 3 years old, but I now realize so much of what goes on between CJ and myself mirrors things that went on between my me and my parents when I was a similar age. And while that might not be a big surprise, what has been a massive revelation is just how my relationship with CJ mirrors God’s relationship with me.

It’s a sad reality

pop_goes_the_churchI mentioned here that I was reading “Pop goes the Church” by Tim Stevens.

The book talks about leveraging pop culture in a church environment to reach people who don’t respond to ‘traditional’ methods. It was a great read (I finished it on Monday), but it left me feeling sad. (more…)
