New Adventure

I posted here a while ago about a competition that the peeps over at OurChurch.com were holding. Well I was one of the winners. Right now I am setting up the new flavour of JustPlainRon for your consuming pleasure.

I wanted to make a shout-out to all of those who helped me win cause it was your comments that won me the prize. So watch this space and I will let you know when the new space is up and running.

I will make sure that all of you who subscribe will continue to get the goodness delivered into your mailbox/feedreader so don’t stress about that.

Like I mentioned here, I I’ll be using Human3rror‘s awesome simpl3 wordpress theme, Marla is going to be working on some images so that I can correctly broadcast what I am about.

I don’t think I will try that again.

You know those experiences that just turn you off something?

Like the time I ate so many tomato flavored chips as a kid and it made me very sick. As a result I could not look at tomato chips for a good number of years.

Or like a friend of mine who can’t eat anything with sweet chilly sauce, cause she got food poisoning from something that just happened to contain the stuff. You have had one of those experiences right?

Think about it, I will wait…

Cocktails for kids

Alicia is quite sick right now. She has a virus that has over excited the mucous factories in her nose and lungs. Horrible cough and very blocked up nose. It has not been fun and games in the Tuffin household these past few days.

My Reasons

I have not posted here in a while. Why, you ask…

Priorities! Over the past 2 months I have had to decide many times to do one thing over another. Ok a lot of the time there is no real choice, its just that some things get done and some other things don’t get done.

Andy Stanley (@AndyStanley on twitter) once said that there is always too much to do and not enough time to do it all, so you have to choose who you are going to cheat. Cause you are going to cheat someone or something so choose wisely.

The monitor puzzle

Last night (or this morning rather) at 02:30 Marla came back to bed after settling Alicia. I was in the bathroom and heard when Marla turned the receiver of the baby monitor on (we leave it off when someone is actually with Alicia).

As soon as she turned it on I heard it crackle to life and emit the dreaded sound of a babies crying follows quickly but a very frustrated Marla using words that are not quotable here . The strange thing was that I heard nothing coming from Alica’s room. Now you have to understand that the bathroom is closer to Alicia’s room that our bedroom. So it was very weird that I could hear Alicia crying via the monitor and not via the bedroom door.

Second time around

I’ve been a bit scarce over the past few days, and if truth be told,  this post is more of a pot-boiler than the real thing. My girls have been keeping me quite busy. Not that I am complaining about that, I truly believe that God put me on this planet to be the best husband my wife could possibly have and to be a real live superhero in the lives of my daughters. I love it.

Marla’s blog #11

CJ loves cat’s. I wish I could tell you that they love her back, but alas that would be a lie. She has yet to learn how to treat a cat in a way that makes the cat want to be with her.

I can still remember telling my brothers and sisters the same piece of advice “If you want the cat to stay with you then you have to let it go when it want to.” And like it did not make sense to them back then, it does not make sense to CJ.

But here is one cat that can’t run away.
