This morning as I was dropping CJ off at school, I had to wait while she ‘finished-up’ before she would get out of the car.

I just got an email from a friend that said this:
- Put your iPod or other music player on shuffle.
- For each question, press the NEXT button to get your answer.
- You must write that song name down no matter how silly it sounds.
- Tag friends who might enjoy doing this as well as the person you got this from.
As CJ gets older and our interaction is more logical, I am continually amazed at the similarities between our relationships to the relationship I had with my parents. Granted I don’t remember much from when I was 3 years old, but I now realize so much of what goes on between CJ and myself mirrors things that went on between my me and my parents when I was a similar age. And while that might not be a big surprise, what has been a massive revelation is just how my relationship with CJ mirrors God’s relationship with me.
Life is quite busy right now. I just realised that today is Wednesday and I usually put this post up on a Tuesday. I also have not bloged much since I last posted in this series. With the arrival of the new addition to the family, time has become scarce. As a result I might only post this regular post every second week, rather than have every second post being a report back on my weight.
Any hoo. This morning I weighed in at 107 again. It is a pity that I have a round up policy as i could actually have reported a small loss since last week, but hey, 107 it is and I have a small head-start on 106.5 for the next post.
This picture has huge significance in my life right now!
Nappies (or diapers to those of you in some other parts of the world).
This evening, after her bath, I was dressing Alicia. She started crying, one of those cries that breaks your heart. I picked her up to comfort her. Nappies are very important, trust me, one wet shirt and trousers later, I know!
I had the opportunity to give the message in church on Sunday. I learned a number of lessons while doing that. The biggest one was that despite the fact that it may have appeared that I was the ‘main dude’ at church on Sunday (I was the only person to occupy the stage by myself), that in reality it has nothing to do with me, and everything to do with God.
Let me tell you the story.
