[I have known Phillip (twitter) for a long while, we used to work together and now we attend the same Church (Phill is my community group leader). Phil is one of the reasons I started this blog. He blogs his passion for video over here on Synaptic Light. Phil's other blog, Son of Mine, is about another passion in his life, Stephen. The theme of my blog runs a very similar course to Son of Mine so Phil and I thought a cross post would be in order. Here is Phillip's post on my blog and here is my post on his. Enjoy]
I heard this story from my wife; Kathy, who was walking to the shops with Stephen our almost 20 month old son. It illustrates the wonder that kids find in this world – that possibly we take for granted. Here we go (with a lot of poetic license) …

Leaving the pram behind, Kathy and Stephen decided to walk the short distance to the shops in order to return a video that we had watched; “The Day the Earth stood still”. Actually, although I can vouch for the fact that Kathy was in full control, I am sure that Stephen was probably making all the calls along the way, many a parent will be nodding their heads at about this point, he he he.

The superhero inside
